Lastar Inc. is the parent company for a family of operating units that provide complete cabling and connectivity solutions to a wide variety of channels and markets. We are strategically organized into two main operating units, Cables To Go and Quiktron, to support the specific needs of our diverse customer base. Both Cables To Go and Quiktron leverage common Lastar resources including our off-shore manufacturing facility to bring timely, innovative, and cost effective connectivity solutions to market. By leveraging common assets, Cables To Go and Quiktron can offer more to their respective customers than they could independently.

Cables To Go - Service Through Every Connection

Cables To Go is the division of Lastar dedicated to providing connectivity solutions to the IT and audio/video distribution channels and the resellers that these channels serve. We have a wide customer base including major distributors, resellers, integrators, and e-tailers who sell computers, computer peripherals, computer networks and audio/video systems. Our flagship customers include Tech Data®, Ingram Micro®, Insight®, CDW®, TigerDirect®, buy.com® and Amazon.com® to name just a few.

Cables To Go offers multiple product categories that make up over 5,000 SKUs. Our broad and deep product portfolio makes us uniquely capable of supporting virtually any market or technology connectivity need. Beyond our product capabilities, Cables To Go is known for our industry-leading customer service. When others say they can't, we say we can. When others say they won't, we say we will. Being responsive to customers while anticipating marketing needs is what makes Cables To Go unique. While most of our products are standard configuration "off the shelf" items, Cables To Go manufactures and sells custom solutions as well. This ability to provide custom solutions is a key differentiator for us and enhances our value to our customers.

Because our customer base is unique and so diverse, and because it is our goal to provide unparalleled customer service, we have organized Cables To Go into four sales units:

  • IT Distribution and National Accounts Sales
  • IT Reseller Sales
  • Audio/Video Reseller and Distribution Sales
  • OEM Sales

At Cables To Go, the majority of our business revolves around connectivity solutions, but we continue to diversify our product offering to include hardware products that switch, extend and convert data communication and audio/video signals. Proactively examining the needs of vertical markets and building solution sets around those need drives Cables To Go future direction.

Quiktron - Connections of Quality

Quiktron is the division of Lastar dedicated to serving the industrial/electrical and low-voltage distribution channels. Quiktron manufactures and distributes data communication cabling, in particular copper and fiber cabling solutions, as well as audio/video signal delivery, control, and extension products. Quiktron is extremely channel loyal and only sells to distributors including industry leaders such as Accu-Tech®, Graybar®, Anixter®, and CSC®. By partnering with these distributors we create a "one-to-many" reciprocal business model that extends the reach of the Quiktron sales force while providing the distributor subject matter expertise, manufacturing, and consistent source of supply.

Known for our industry-leading service, quality, and diverse manufacturing capabilities, Quiktron has the capacity and expertise to manufacture virtually any type of fiber optic or copper network cabling assembly required. Patch cords are just part of what we do. We also specialize in multi-strand fiber "pre-terms" with strand counts up to 288. Our Hickory facility offers automated fiber termination that enables us to scale production quickly while ensuring every cable meets Quiktron's rigid quality standards.

Another feature that gives Quiktron an edge over the competition is its designation as a Corning CAH Gold Partner. Corning CAH Gold Partners and the cable assemblies from them are recognized as having the same quality as cables directly from Corning. This endorsement affords Quiktron business opportunities and referrals not seen by non-Corning CAH Gold Partners. Quiktron has been a CAH Gold Partner since September 2004.

We continue to expand our audio/video solution portfolio to support the rapid multimedia growth occurring in the education, healthcare, home integration, and even government market sectors. By partnering with our distributors to develop new growth opportunities within these markets and product categories, Quiktron adds value to the entire chain - the distributor, the contractor who buys from the distributor, and the end-user whom the contractor supports.
